Caring for Cambodia (CFC) is a non-profit organisation changing the future of Cambodia, one child at a time. They currently work with over 6,600 children from preschool through high school, equipping them with the tools they need to lift their families out of poverty.

Through my professional company, I have been involved with CFC since 2010, in particular, with their Health Education program that started with basic healthcare for the students. This program started with lessons in basic care such as hand washing, teeth brushing and the importance of clean water.  Students go on to learn more complex lessons on disease & healthy practices,  nutrition, fitness and more.

Basic health care is often inaccessible or unaffordable to many Cambodians.  The Health Education Program provides this for the children in the CFC schools with vision screening and glasses, height and weight – Body Mass Index (BMI) to identify and decrease malnutrition, First Aid training as well as supporting local nurses in the schools
